2024 Mercedes E-Class, Now with Standard AWD, Starts above $63,000

  • Mercedes announced pricing for the 2024 E-class sedan, available in E350 and E450 forms.
  • The E350 comes with a turbo 2.0-liter inline-four, while the E450 has a turbo 3.0-liter inline-six. Both come standard with 4Matic all-wheel drive.
  • Mercedes says the new E-class will arrive at U.S. dealerships in the first quarter of this year.

Mercedes introduced the E-class lineup for the new generation last year, and it is getting ready to arrive at the shores of U.S. America this year.

Although there are likely to be AMG versions in the future and the imminent introduction to the E-class All-Terrain wagon for the moment, we know only the prices for the more mainstream model, which is Benz-branded (the convertibles and coupes are gone).

The lineup starts at $63,450 with the E350 4Matic and then continues with the more robust E450 4Matic, which starts at $69,250. 4Matic all-wheel drive has become all-inclusive, meaning the previous generation’s rear-wheel drive E350 model is no longer available.

This is the reason for some of the price differences; however, when you compare apples with apples, the E350 is $2500 to $3050 more expensive than the previous.

The E350 comes with a turbocharged 255 horsepower 2.0-liter inline-four, and the E450 comes with a turbocharged 375 horsepower 3.0-liter inline-six. Both engines are equipped with a nine-speed auto transmission.

Mercedes claims the base Premium trim level has features like the AMG styling kit, a panoramic sunroof—a digital key- and an enormous 14.4-inch centre-mounted touchscreen.

A premium pinnacle trim is available for $250 for both models, the E350 and the E450, which includes the ability to light up the grille with ambient light, glass insulation, and an up-facing display.

Some alternatives are standalone, like MBUX Super screen, which includes a rear-facing display, an Airmatic package with an adjustable damper, air suspension, and rear-wheel steering.

We don’t have pricing for these options yet, but we’re confident there will be plenty of additional options, including bigger wheels, top-quality upholstery and paint options.
