The city officials believed that these items would be discovered by future generations, providing them with valuable insights into life during that time period.
Plymouth Belvedere History
Lewis Roberts, the chairman of the city’s Celebrations Committee, clarified the reason behind choosing the Plymouth Belvedere Sports Coupe as the historic item to be buried.
The committee aimed to commemorate Tulsa’s industrial creativity by selecting a car. The Plymouth V8 coupe was fully loaded and had a sparkling desert gold and dune tones color scheme. Additionally, the white color of the vinyl top made the car stand out.
