Hyundai announced the new fifth-generation Santa Fe last month but didn’t reveal any specifications. A few details that were not released are now available as Santa Fe’s official unveiling in Korea. 2024 Santa Fe will begin sales in the US in the first quarter of next year. It will officially make its North American debut at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show.
Hyundai will provide its Santa Fe with two engine options within North America. Its turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine produces 277 hp (281 in metric horsepower) and 311 pounds-feet (43.0 kg-force meters) of torque. It’s paired with the eight-speed dual-clutch automated transmission. It can hit speeds of 62 mph in 8.0 seconds.
The new model will include a turbocharged 1.6-litre hybrid engine, which produces 177 horsepower (180 PS) and an impressive 195 pounds (27.0 kgf*m) torque from the engine. It then sends power through the automatic six-speed transmission. It takes 9.5 seconds to hit the speed of 62 km/h. It’s gone from the lineup of the plug-in hybrid model that had all-wheel drive and a total of 268 horsepower.
Hyundai has already shown off the new styling of the three-row SUV. Hyundai has adopted a unique design approach with the new model, beginning with the larger tailgate before developing the exterior. The latest, five-generation Santa Fe is bigger than the Santa Fe it replaced, expanding in every direction, benefiting passengers.

Legroom expands on the 2nd row from 1.4 inches (35 millimetres) to 42.3 inches (1,075 millimetres) for the gasoline version. The legroom in the second row of the hybrid increases from 0.79 inches (20 millimetres) to 41.5 inches (1,055 millimetres). The third row is also growing due to the increased size of the model, accompanied by 0.59 (15 millimetres) more legroom and 2.7 (69 millimetres) more headroom. It comes with 25.6 cubic feet (725 Liters) of storage space for cargo, and the seats fold in both rows to maximize the load capacity.
