Toyota 3UR-FE Engine Specs
The Toyota 3UR-FE is a 5.7 Liter, 345.6 cu·in (5,663 cc) V8, four-stroke cycle water-cooled naturally aspirated internal combustion gasoline engine from the UR-family, made by the Toyota Motor Corporation since 2006.
This engine delivered from 362 PS (266 kW; 357 HP) at 5,600 rpm to 383 PS (282 kW; 378 HP) at 5,600 rpm of maximum HP and from 530 N·m (54 kg·m, 391 ft·lb) at 3,200 rpm to 546 N·m (55.7 kg·m, 402 ft·lb) at 3,600 rpm of peak torque depending on the year and vehicle model.
The Toyota 3UR-FE engine is fitted with an L-type sequential fuel injection system, Direct Ignition System ignition system with individual coils on each spark plug, Electronic Spark Advance (ESA), Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS), and ETCS-i (Electronic Throttle Control System-intelligent).
The Toyota 3UR-FE engine has eight cylinders in a V-arrangement at a bank angle of 90° The Toyota 3UR-FE features two aluminum heads with two chain-driven camshafts (DOHC), a die-cast aluminum cylinder block with a five-bearings crankshaft and four valves per cylinder (32 in total).
The Toyota 3UR-FE engine also used a Dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing) system for the intake and exhaust camshafts. It has a 94.0 mm (3.7 in) cylinder bore and 102.0 mm (4.02 in) piston stroke. The Toyota 3UR-FE engine compression ratio rating is 10.2:1.
The breakdown of the Toyota 3UR-FE engine code is as follows:
- 3 – 3rd generation engine
- UR – Engine family
- F – Economy narrow-angle DOHC
- E – Multi-Point Fuel Injection
